Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production - Best Practice Guideline for the South African Valve Manufacturing Industry

This guidebook on Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production (RECP) in the South African Valves Manufacturing Industry as been developed by the National Cleaner Production Centre of South Africa (NCPC-SA).

The NCPC-SA is a national programme of government that promotes the implementation of Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production (RECP) methodologies to assist industry in lowering operational costs through reduced energy, water

and materials usage as well as effective waste management. It is hosted by the Council for Scientific Industrial Research (CSIR) on behalf of the Department of Trade and Industry (the dti).

The NCPC-SA is a member of UNIDO and UNEP’s global Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production network (RECPnet) and plays a leading role in the African Roundtable on Sustainable Production and Consumption (ARSCP).
