Capital Equipment in the Agricultural Sector. Organised by Grain SA NAMPO provides a unique opportunity to all manufacturers of agri-cultural machinery, products and services to exhibit as well as demonstrate their vast range of products to their targeted customers - the farmers of South Africa.
On Tuesday the 17th May Chris Beyers and myself visited the NAMPO Agricultural show in Bothaville in the Free state.
The purpose of the visit was to establish contact with the local manufactured companies supplying the farming community with implements and equipment.
We were please to see the number of locally manufactured companies that are still manufacturing equipment, despite the huge influx of imported technology being imported into South Africa.
We have approached some 30 companies to join SACEEC and will be following up with theses companies to either join as a cluster or just as a working group in the export opportunities for there equipment into Africa and further abroad.
The response we received was fantastic and shortly we should have locally manufactured agricultural equipment back on board within the SACEEC family.
One aspect that was really noticeable was how professional and effective this show was run by NAMPO. For more information on the show www.nampo.co.za
